This is another image from the second night of light painting with Wyman Meinzer at Palo Duro Canyon State Park near Amarillo, Texas. The image is a 30 second exposure shot on a Nikon D3S at 1600 ISO, f/4.0 at 16mm. I processed the image in Photoshop CS6 by applying several curves adjustment layers and then applied my favorite tonal contrast filter from Nik Software’s Color Efex Pro 4. I’m amazed at the amount of detail that can be captured by simply painting across these canyons with the soft diffused light from a spotlight.
